Risk & Compliance Congress 2016 : theme „The impact of international supervision“

Landgoed Groot Kievitsdal, Baarn

The objective of the Risk & Compliance Congress is to provide insight and inspiration to risk & compliance professionals, supervisors and other interested parties. The theme for 2016 is “The impact of international supervision”

Many regulations originate from abroad and, in many cases, have an obligatory impact on national legislation. For example, legislation has been brought in from the USA, while also closer to home, in Brussels, new laws are being drafted that remain fully in force nationally. And then there is also the powerful bastion referred to as the ECB located in Frankfurt. Although laws ratified by the Parliament do not originate from Frankfurt, other mandatory measures do stem from there. But exactly what impact do all of these foreign measures and/or laws have on our data- and IT systems, and exactly how should we respond to them? The question that remains is just how can we do this? Which legal consequences can result from this? Which software solution can help us in this respect? In short, a wide range of questions still require answers.

We will face up to this challenge, by entering into a debate during our Congress on 2nd June with all of the parties involved (national and foreign supervisors, the relevant responsible persons, lawyers and suppliers). Our Risk & Compliance Congress will focus on the practical aspects, and this is why we prefer to speak about challenges in this respect.
So have we already aroused your curiosity? We challenge you to participate on Thursday 2nd June at our 2016 Risk & Compliance Congress.
